Review for Tuesday - 01/10/2006 by Bill
Does alcohol contribute to breast cancer? That's a tough question. Fortunately, when it comes to tough questions, you won't find the Real World Winers shying away. No sir. We'll look at such a question from many different angles... and in the end, acknowledge that we simply have no idea.
The wines (5)
2001 Rosemount Estate — Cabernet Sauvignon Coonawarra
Original heading: “2001 Rosemount Estate - Cabernet Sauvignon Coonawarra”
Following what appears to be a developing trend, this first wine of the evening proved to be our favorite. A decent cabernet in the neighborhood of $13. Well balanced and easy drinking. Not exactly wowing to any of us, but this is only our second wine to receive a universal 'buy' rating, so consider it well worth the money.

2004 Trader Joe's French Classic — Syrah
Original heading: “2004 Trader Joe's French Classic - Syrah”
Cheaper even than last weeks 'Cheap Red Wine', this one faired slightly better in the ratings. Not reprehensible even to the not-buy, not-drinkers among us, this wine holds its own for $4. If you're looking for a very cheap wine to drink by yourself, in the dark, in your closet... this is a good option. Then again, if you're hanging out in your closet with a $4 bottle of wine - the line between 'good option' and 'bad option' has probably already blurred for you.

1999 Cantina Sociale Cooperativa — Copertino
Original heading: “1999 Cantina Sociale Cooperativa - Copertino”
This is the first wine from the 90s that we've formally rated, and I had elevated hopes from it based on some other reviews online. But, as they say, that's why we play the game... Our winers largely panned this copertino, Chris even noting a fecal smell. Steve would drink it if a sausage calzone were handy, for what that's worth. Still, this is reminiscent of a Pinot Noir, so if you're into Pinot Noir and only want to spend $10, you could do worse.

2004 Alice White — Shiraz
Original heading: “2004 Alice White - Shiraz”
We had the 'Harry Potter of wine' last week, and here we are with the 'Coors Light' of wine, for $7. Rich summed it up as 'a very boring wine' - no offense intended to the Coors Light drinkers among you. Well, actually, you probably should take some small amount of offense because it would be good for you. Stop drinking Coors Light. That's not a beer.

2003 2 Brothers — Big Tattoo Red
Original heading: “2003 2 Brothers - Big Tattoo Red”
This Syrah/Cabernet comes in at around $12, with [50 cent](http://www.50cent.com/)s going to fight breast cancer. This Big Tattoo Red had a strong berry smell and flavor to say the least. Essentially it seemed to be screaming for attention, and came through as anything but elegant. John would also like to note the lameness of the tattoo symbol which is its namesake.
